Automatic Payments

The fastest, easiest way is to set up an automatic payment, also known as automated clearing house payment (ACH). Simply download the Automatic Loan Payment Authorization form or the Automatic Mortgage Payment Authorization form, fill it out, and return it to us with a voided check. Either form needs to be completed in order to make changes to or cancel your payment with a minimum of 3 business days notice.

Transfer Funds in Digital Banking

If you have a Salal checking or savings account and you have chosen not to set up automatic payments, you can easily make a payment by transferring funds from your Salal account within Mobile or Online Banking. Or, if you are transferring funds from another financial institution, you will first need to link your account in digital banking using Instant Account Verification. It just takes a few steps to set it up. See our Tutorials page to learn how to transfer funds or add an external account for transfers to and from other financial institutions.
Bill Pay in Digital Banking
Cost: FREE / Payment: Same Day or multi-day (depends on how it is sent to Salal)
Get set up to make payments automatically and manage multiple bills to different providers more easily through Bill Pay. Add Salal as a payee with your primary financial institution to send payments electronically. You’ll probably need to know your loan account number, which you can find on your statement and the payment mailing address (Salal Credit Union, PO Box 7492, Carol Stream, IL 60197-7492). Note: If another financial institution pays your bill, processing time will vary depending on if sent electronically or by USPS.
Loan Payments in Digital Banking

Beyond automatic payments, the fastest and easiest way to make your loan payment with your checking or savings bank account (ACH) or debit card from another financial institution, is by accessing Loan Payments under the Transfers tab within Mobile and Online Banking. Within Loan Payments, you can make up to 3 one-time payments per loan each month towards a Salal loan or mortgage and set email and text notifications. One-Time Rush Payment as Guest on SalalCU.org

Do you need to make a one-time rush payment on a Salal loan and you haven’t enrolled in digital banking yet? Access the online guest web payment tool to make your payment utilizing your bank account or debit card details. There is a $9.99 fee per payment.
Pay By Phone
One-Time Rush Phone Payment with Live Assistance
Cost: $19.99 / Payment: Same Day (if before 4 p.m. PT)
Make a loan payment by phone with the help of a Salal Virtual Branch team member by calling 800.562.5515. Please note that we can only take a payment from a primary or joint on the account and the debit card has to be in their name. There is a $19.99 fee per payment. Live assistance is available during business hours (M–F: 8:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.; Sat: 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. PT). If you submit your payment request after business hours, our after-hours support team will submit a ticket and a Salal team member will call you the next business day to complete your payment. ACH or debit card payments only.
At a Branch or Shared Branch
Cost: FREE / Payment: Same Day
Visit any of our Salal neighborhood branches or make a payment at a Shared Branching credit union. Our members can perform financial transactions at more than 3,500 participating credit unions across the country. Branches can accept payments with cash, check, through transferring funds, or take a card via a cash advance machine. Find a Shared Branching location.
